Alex Morgan a forward, the youngest member of the U.S. women's national soccer team in 2009 and the 1st overall pick in the 2011 Women's Professional Soccer Draft to the Western New York Flash. Morgan graduated early from the University of California, Berkeley where she played for the California Golden Bears. She competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics and won her first gold medal defeating Japan and scored the match winning goal in the 123rd minute against Canada in the previous match. She finished 2012 recording 28 goals and 21 assists. She is recognized along with Mia Hamm as the only American woman to score 20 goals and 20 assists in the same calendar year, making her the 6th youngest U.S. player to score 20 goals in a single season. Morgan is listed 5th highest scorer in the national team's history with 109 goals and 9th in all time top scorers in women's international football.
