Gary Gait is now the Head Coach of the Syracuse Men's Lacrosse Team. He is making the transition from the Syracuse Women's Lacrosse team, where he spent 14 seasons. He led the Orange to 8 Final Four's and 3 National Championship Games. He was named Conference Coach of the Year 4 times and had an overall record of 213-75. Prior to coaching, Gait was one of the most accomplished lacrosse players ever. He played at Syracuse from 1987-1990, finishing with 192 Goals and 253 Points. He was a 4-time All-American, leading Syracuse to 3 National Championships. He was named the 1990 NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player. Gait then played 19 professional seasons in the National Lacrosse League and Major League Lacrosse. In 2006, Gait led Canada to the World Lacrosse Championship. He was inducted into the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2005, the NLL Hall of Fame in 2006, and the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2014.
