Jim Leyritz began his Major League career playing for the New York Yankees from 1990-1996. The most iconic moment of his career took place during Game 4 of the 1996 World Series against the Atlanta Braves when he hit a game-tying 3-run home run in the 8th inning off Braves closer Mark Wohlers. The Yankees won Game 4 and ultimately the series, erasing a 2-0 deficit and winning four consecutive games. Leyritz won his second World Series Championship during his second stint with the Yankees in 1999. He also hit the last home run of the 20th century.
