Willie Randolph made his MLB debut in 1975 after being drafted in the 7th round of the 1972 MLB draft. Randolph made 6 All-Star teams during his career and won 6 World Series Championships as a player and coach for the New York Yankees. After his playing career, the All-Star second baseman decided to take his talents to the coaching department, and served as a 3rd base coach and bench coach with the Yankees from 1994-2004. Randolph was named manager of the New York Mets in 2005 and become only the 8th person to both play and later manage the Mets. Randolph came within one game of a World Series appearance in 2006.
